If you are a Micro sailor and want to work on your new set of sails, or you just want to measure them OR if you are a measurer at the Micro event, you can now use the official Sail Area Calculator int the Microsoft Excel format to measure the sails and calculate the sail area according to the formulas defined in the class rules.
Besides calculating the sail area, you can also check if some specific measurements are within the rules, as the cells will change color to green or red based on the value you put in.
This XLS is used by our international and national measurers at events such as Micro World Championships. Kindly provided by our technical committee, you are free to use this calculator and distribute it to other Micro sailors.
